The data may be stored on a different computer than the computer you want to use Management by Statistics on. The version of Management by Statistics you install needs to match the version of the database.
Major versions are 3.0, 3.1 and 3.1.5 for Windows 2003/XP, and 3.2 and 3.5 for Windows 7 and later. Only versions 3.1.5 and 3.5 are currently recommended and these offer the latest features.
To find out which version you need to install, go to a computer where Management by Statistics is already installed and start it.
The version number will be displayed along the status bar at the bottom of the window, as shown below.
When you download the Management by Statistics software be sure to download the version that matches the version you have currently installed.
Also noted in the status bar is the name of the computer where your statistics data is stored on your network. Note this computer name down as you will need to select it once you install Management by Statistics on another computer.
